The Briscoe Museum empowers children and their families to explore and learn about the art of the American West through interactive exhibits, workshops, and fostering creativity.
Briscoe Museum’s monthly Storytime Stampede! For kids ages 18 months to 5 years, these 30-minute sessions feature acted-out stories, readings, movement, songs, and art, fostering art awareness, language, and social skills.

Discover the American West through Briscoe “Full STEAM Ahead” series. All ages can engage in hands-on STEAM learning, connecting art and artifacts to topics like transportation, weather, animals, astronomy, and engineering, revitalizing the West’s essence. Programs explore various Western aspects, sparking engaging and inspiring learning.

Themed around Briscoe’s pillars of Western Art, cowboys and ranching, Native Americans, vaqueros, and the wildlife of the West, the Briscoe Community Festival Days are created for families. Each festival includes art engaging crafts, storytelling, artist performances, and cultural opportunities for learning. These fun-filled FREE festival days touch a broad audience reaching an underserved demographic in our community.
Join us to explore the night sky by studying Kim Wiggins’s painting “Colonel Crockett’s Return to Cibolo Creek”. After a short study of the painting, families will have the opportunity to create a bedroom Planetarium.
