Culture on Canvas celebrates modern expressions of Black Western identity while highlighting the often-overlooked historic contributions of Black people in Western society.

From trail-rides to Black rodeos and even the creative worlds of “Cowboy Carter”, “The Harder They Fall”, and “Nope”, this event examines what Western art looks like when we tell our full truth. Through a creative and historic lens, we invite attendees to reclaim visual narratives that are often missing in museums.
