As a native Texan artist with a deep love for nature, Emma draws inspiration from the world around her to create hand drawn designs that tell meaningful stories. With a background in painting from Savannah College of Art & Design, she has grown her art practice through a range of mediums, including intricate inked maps, watercolors, illustration and large-scale painted murals. Her primary medium is cartography, creating maps that give direction and chart experiences. Emma approaches her work as a cartographer through a storytelling lens to create artwork that highlights a geographic place’s uniqueness, often with a keen attention to the native flora and fauna.

In addition to her self-directed work, Emma is honored to have worked with a wide range of clients including Great Springs Project, The Contemporary Austin, Deep in the Heart book and Chasing the Tide (book & PBS film series). Emma’s home and studio are rooted in Austin, Texas, where she is often found drawing, baking, birding, and hiking greenbelt trails.
