ABOUT OUR HONOREE
Jane is a trailblazer and community pillar whose passion and generosity have deeply enriched San Antonio. A Kingsville native, she became the first woman to serve as San Antonio’s City Attorney (1977–1983). Her career has been marked by civic leadership and advocacy for institutions such as the After-School All-Stars, Girl Scouts of Southwest Texas, the San Antonio Museum of Art, and the International Women’s Forum. Recognized as the 2016 Citizen of the Year by the World Affairs Council, Jane has championed causes from the Battered Women’s Shelter, the San Antonio Spurs, and Texas A&M-San Antonio.
As a partner at Bracewell LLP, Jane chairs the Muriel F. Siebert Foundation, a driving force behind nonprofit support across San Antonio. She also lends her strategic insight and boundless energy to boards such as the Texas Women’s Forum and the National Child Care Action Board, championing causes that shape stronger communities.
Jane’s commitment to the Briscoe Western Art Museum has been nothing short of transformative. As a member of the Board of Directors, she actively supports the museum’s mission to preserve and celebrate the art, history, and culture of the American West.
